Books & articles
This is one of my favorite books of all time. This book is great for those who want to better communicate & connect with their kids and their family as a whole. I recommend reading this book first.
Siblings Without Rivalry (parenting)
By the same authors of “How to Talk so Kids Will Listen…”, this book is full of practical tools so you can help your children enjoy their sibling relationship while working through conflict, competition and cooperation together. I recommend reading this book second.
Montessori from the Start (education)
This is a great read for those who are considering a Montessori education for their child or interested in taking a Montessori training. This book describes in detail so many crucial stages in a young child’s development and addresses how to support the child through each.
The Absorbent Mind (education)
Based on lectures given by Dr. Maria Montessori, this book will change the way you view children. It’s an analysis of the physical and psychological aspects of a child’s growth during the most important years of life.
This book came highly recommended to me from an Occupational Therapist and after reading it, I could see why. It will help you notice different needs your kids may show you (many kids are over or under responsive to things in their environment), understand those needs and then meet them through tried and tested methods. This book is beneficial for anyone who spends time with children.
The Out-of-Sync Child Has Fun (parenting)
This book is a fantastic read following Sensational Kids. It takes the theory and turns it into practical activities that can be used with children who exhibit symptoms of sensory processing disorder (issues related to movement, vision, hearing, smell, taste, etc.). It’s an empowering guide to supporting children at home and school.
Sitting Still Like a Frog (parenting & mindfulness)
This book is a great resource for those who want to guide kids through different mindfulness practices. The author makes practicing mindfulness with kids easy because she walks the reader through various mindfulness activities for kids and explains the reasoning behind them. While the book is tailored to adults, the audio CD is child-centered and contains 11 mindfulness activities that kids can follow along with. The book offers mini mindfulness practices that are not included on the CD and vice-versa.
The Four Agreements (spiritual)
This book is for those who need to get back on track, need perspective or need simple reminders to live their best life. This book is packed with great messages for adults and kids alike.
Neuropsychology and Montessori (education)
A great explanation on why the Montessori method is so effective from the viewpoint of a Pediatric Neuropsychologist.
What Do Babies Think? (education)
Child development psychologist, Alison Gopnik, presents evidence that babies and children are extremely conscious and have very powerful "learning mechanisms". Love this video as an evidence based reminder of how very capable children are.
The Linguistic Genius of Babies (education)
Language has a critical period for learning. Babies and children "are geniuses" until age 7 and are "citizens of the world" until their first birthday. This is a great video to help adults understand how babies and children can effortlessly learn a first, second or third language.

A great site that is packed with healthy, as well as family-friendly recipes for 6 month-olds and up. I especially love this site because through her recipes, Catherine focuses on educating kids and involving them in the cooking process!
One of the best juicers I’ve used. It’s perfect for juicing leafy greens, ensures the highest nutritional value with low RPMs and easy to use & clean. For those who are in the market for a new juicer or tired of “being tired.”
For those who are trying to get more veggies in their diet while making it fun for the whole family. Great for making long vegetable strands for healthy vegetable meals quickly.
One of my favorite products of all time. A diffuser is beneficial for anyone who wants to improve the wellness of their family through essential oils or simply enjoy a relaxing & refreshing home. I especially recommend diffusing during cold season.
This journal is based in the science of positive psychology to improve happiness. It's a fantastic tool for anyone looking to create a daily practice of gratitude, intention setting and reflection. I use it every morning and evening and have felt the benefits firsthand.
Materials & Play
An awesome resource for parents with young kids who want to promote their kids’ independence, best development and learning at home. I especially love this resources because it was created at the request of Montessori teachers. Many of these items can be found in Montessori schools and are a great way to create consistency in both home and school environments for young kids.
A great child friendly step stool so that young children can be a part of home life. I especially love it, because it’s sturdy and has non-slip treads & hand rails.
